About GO Jersey City
Go Jersey City is an annual community event that brings together residents and neighbors from across Jersey City to serve, restore, and beautify meaningful spaces throughout the city. What began 11 years ago as a simple act of community care has grown into a citywide tradition centered around connection, service, and local pride.
Organized and funded by Downtown Community Church, it is a reflection of our love for God and for the city. It was created to inspire people to step outside their routines, meet new neighbors, discover new corners of the city, and make a lasting impact together. Each year, volunteers come together to support parks, schools, community spaces, and other historically significant locations that help shape the story and spirit of Jersey City.
It is a celebration of community, a chance to build friendships, create shared memories, and contribute to the vibrant heartbeat of Jersey City.
